This is the first game of a home and home series with the Grrrowl. Greenville has a home record of 13-10-1 and an overall record of 26-20-4.

Tuesday, February 22, 2005 Vs Greenville – 7:05 North Charleston Coliseum

Greenville has an impressive road record of 13-10-3. The Stingrays have a mark of 3-2 against the Grrrowl this season. The Stingrays are 16-5-2 at home this year.

Friday, February 25, 2005 @ Pee Dee – 7:30 Florence Civic Center

Pee Dee has won three out of its last four games coming into the week. The Stingrays have dominated the Pride this season with a record of 5-1-1 against their rivals from Florence.

The Checkers continue to hold first place in the East Division with a record of 31-19-3 and 65 points. The Rays have a mark of 2-1-2 against the Checkers this season. Charlotte is 12-12-2 away from home.

The Gladiators have a record of 5-3-2 in their last ten games. Gwinnett has beaten the Stingrays three out of four times this season with the most recent two wins coming in Charleston.

A 57 save performance by Justin Eddy was not enough for the Stingrays against the Ice Pilots, who won their 11th straight game. Nick Lindberg had a pair of goals in the win for the Pilots.

Friday, February 18, 2005 Stingrays 3 Vs Gwinnett 4 SO

Randy Dagenais goal with 47 seconds left tied the game for the Gladiators and stretched the Stingrays winless streak to four games.

Saturday, February 19, 2005 Stingrays 2 Vs Columbia 1 OT

Ed Courtenay had the game winner and assisted on a Brad Parsons goal in the first period. Justin Eddy earned his third win for the Stingrays making 25 saves.

The Team:

South Carolina finished the week with a record of 1-1-1 finishing off its longest road trip of the season. This week will be the busiest week of the year for the Rays as they will play five games between now and Sunday, including three on the road. In fact the Stingrays will have just seven road games remaining after this week of action. The Stingrays are now 26-17-6 overall and in third place in the East Division. The Stingrays now have a record of 10-12-4 on the road. The Stingrays penalty kill is still best in the ECHL at 89.3% and the power play is ranked eighth at 17.9%.

The Players:

Ed Courtenay has five goals and eight assists for 13 points in his last ten games. He is also a plus nine in that stretch. Brad Parsons has six goals and four assists for ten points in his last ten games. Matt Reid continues to lead the Stingrays in points with 45, while Joe Tenute has the team lead in goals with 22.

Stingrays Sign Goaltender

The South Carolina Stingrays signed goaltender Chad Rycroft today. Rycroft has spent this season with Columbus of the SPHL. The Rays filled the vacancy caused by the call up of Maxime Daigneault to Portland.
