LAST WEEK: The Pride went 2-1-0 last week, picking up home wins over Mississippi and Columbia, and suffering a road loss at Augusta. Pee Dee is 25-23-3 on the season for 53 points, and is in fifth place in the East Division. The Pride are in eighth place in the American Conference, leading Mississippi by one point for the final playoff spot.
Thursday, February 17 v. Mississippi PRIDE 5 Sea Wolves 4
With the game tied 2-2 through 20 minutes, the Pride offense went to work in the second period. A pair of goals by Gregg Johnson and a single tally from Eric Naud gave Pee Dee a 5-2 lead after two periods. Mississippi's Anthony Battaglia scored 2:46 into the third period to make it a two-goal game, and Jay Leagualt added a power-play goal with 25 seconds left in regulation to set the final.
Friday, February 18 v. Columbia PRIDE 3 Inferno 2 (SO)
Columbia's Eric Boulton scored the only goal of the first period 17:47 into the game. It remained 1-0 until the 7:23 mark of the third period when Kyle Kidney scored on a goal-mouth scramble to tie the game. The Pride took the lead just 1:58 later as Darryl Green but Mike Minard with a slap shot from the blue line. The Inferno tied the game with a power-play goal at 14:16. Both teams scored once on their first five shootout attempts, sending the shootout to sudden death. In the sixth round, Sebastien Laplante made the save, and Steve Cygan beat Minard to give the Pride the win.
Saturday, February 19 @ Augusta Lynx 6 PRIDE 2
Pee Dee's three-game winning streak came to an end at the hand of the Lynx. Augusta took control of the game, scoring a pair of goals over the final 5:23 of the first period, and adding a third tally just 26 seconds into the second period. Steve Cygan tallied a goal and an assist for the Pride in the loss.
THIS WEEKS' GAMES
Friday, February 25 v. South Carolina 7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den
The Pride and Stingrays meet for the eighth of 11 times this season. Pee Dee is 2-5-0 against South Carolina this season with the home team winning each of the first seven games. South Carolina is 26-17-6 for 58 points and is in third place in the East Division.
PROMOTIONS: It's the Pride's annual Church Night. Following the game, Builder's First Source, Chick-fil-a, First Choice Health Care, and LifeWay Christian Store present a concert featuring the contemporary Christian music of The Akin's. The Pride take on the Grrrowl for the eighth of 10 ten times this season. Pee Dee is 3-3-1 against Greenville this season, with the road team winning each of the first seven meetings. Greenville is in fourth place in the East Division with a record of 26-20-4 for 56 points.
Sunday, February 27 v. Charlotte 2:30 p.m. at the Lion's Den
The Pride and Checkers meet for the sixth of eight times this season. Pee Dee is 3-2-0 against Charlotte, with the home team winning each of the previous five games. The Checkers remain in first place in the East Division with a 31-19-3 record for 65 points.
PROMOTIONS: It's another Sunday Kids' Day at the Lion's Den. Kids 12 and under can purchase 200 or 400 level seats for just $2.50, and kids' meals are available for an additional $2.50. Following the game, the Pride will hold a special autograph session on the concourse of the civic center.

PRIDE NOTES
- Over their last seven games, the Pride are 0-for-24 on the power play.
- Pee Dee has lost nine consecutive road games, and has been outscored 39-17 in those nine games.
- Each of the Pride's last four home games (3-0-1) have been decided by one goal, with three of the games ending in either overtime or a shootout.
- Pee Dee has allowed the first goal in 12 of its last 14 games.
- Allan Sirois has moved into seventh place in ECHL history, playing in 592 games. With two more games played, he will move past former Charlotte defenseman Kurt Seher into sixth place. In eight more games, not only will Sirois skate in his 600th ECHL game, but he will also move past current Mississippi head coach Bob Woods, and into fourth place in league history.
- Steve Cygan has five points (2g, 3a) in five games since being acquired in a trade with Trenton on February 10.

The Pride's "Hockey Tonight" yard signs are back! If you need a new yard sign, you can pick one up at the Pride office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Customer Service Tables during home games. Remember to place your yard signs on game days. The Pride have two home games this week: Friday against the South Carolina Stingrays and Sunday against the Charlotte Checkers.
