LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 3-0-1 OVERALL RECORD: 29-17-6, 64 pts.

February 15 @ Victoria, 2-1 Shootout Loss - Corey Hessler scored his first goal as a Falcon as Fresno dropped its second straight shootout decision in as many games to the Salmon Kings.

February 16 @ Victoria, 4-0 Win - Goaltenders Brett Jaeger and emergency back-up Kelly Shields combined on a 30-save shutout (although neither receives official credit for their combined work), the Falcons' third of the season. Hessler scored for the second straight game and Shaun Sutter added two power play goals in the winning effort.

February 18 vs. San Diego, 1-0 Win - The Falcons won their second straight game from the Gulls, their closest pursuant in the standings, as John Wroblewski tallied the game's only goal on the power play in the second period and Jaeger made 31 saves for his second shutout of the season.

February 20 vs. Las Vegas, 3-2 Win - Fresno fell behind 2-0 but countered with goals from Derek Krestanovich and Simon Mangos to send the game to the third period tied at two. Wroblewski then notched his second straight game-winner early in the final period for the team's third win in a row.

THIS WEEK'S UPCOMING GAMES

Saturday, Feb. 26 @ Alaska, 3 p.m. Pacific - The Falcons begin a two-game set against the Aces in Alaska, where Fresno won both games the last time they were at Sullivan Arena in mid-January. NOTES

. Goaltender Brett Jaeger is 4-0-1 in his last five starts with a .84 goals against average and 97.4% save percentage.

. Jaeger established a new Falcons record for longest scoreless streak by keeping opponents scoreless for 166:52 over the course of four games. The old record of 110:55 was set by former Falcon Terry Friesen during the 2000-01 campaign.

. With two power play goals in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Victoria, Shaun Sutter moved into first across the league with 13 power play goals this season.

. Since beginning the season with a 1-5-1 record at home, the Falcons are now 16-2-1 in their last 19 games at Save Mart Center.

. Wednesday and Friday's victories marked the first back-to-back shutouts in Fresno's 10-year professional history.

. The Falcons are ranked 1st (19.9%) on the power play and 11th (85.0%) on the penalty kill.

. Fresno begins the week in sole possession of fourth place in the West Division, two points behind the third-place Bakersfield Condors and seven points back of the division-leading Long Beach Ice Dogs.
