Stockton, California - The Stockton Thunder defeated the Utah Grizzlies (2-4-1-1) 3-2 in a shootout Friday night at Stockton Arena.

Utah made it 2-0 when Colavecchia drew a trip and Cantin scored immediately off of the face-off with 2:01 left in the period. Syner picked up an assist on the play along with rookie Alex Krushelnyski who scored his fourth point in five games with Utah.
Stockton tied the game with two quick goals on special teams late in the second period and the contest was tied moving to the third.
