It's only been a month into the season, but this evening will be the fourth and final regular season encounter between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Elmira Jackals. With a 3-2 victory last night at Wings Stadium, the K-Wings lead the season series over the Jackals with a record of 2-1-0-0
Alex Mallet's goal with 20.8 seconds last night propelled the K-Wings to victory. The tally was Mallet's team-leading second game-winner of the season. With 11 points the K-Wings are in second place in the North Division and are just three points behind the division leaders, the Fort Wayne Komets.
Last night's loss snapped a season-high four-game winning streak for Elmira. This will be the final game of a three-game road swing for the Jackals, who are 1-1-0-0 on the trip. The Jackals (11 points) enter tonight in second place in the East Division, two points behind the Florida Everblades.

Forward Curtis Valk enters tonight on a K-Wings' season-high eight-game point streak. Valk is also tied for the league-lead in scoring among rookies with 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists).
High Octane Offense There has been no better scoring team in the Eastern Conference than Kalamazoo. The K-Wings, who have scored 33 goals this season, are averaging 4.13 goals per game.
