Stars acquire Berenzweig; Assigned to Utah

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH (Feb. 17, 2003) * The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, the Dallas Stars, announced today that they have traded right wing Jon Sim to the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman Andrew *Bubba* Berenzweig (BAIR-ehn-zwihg) and a conditional draft pick. Berenzweig has been assigned to the Grizzlies.

Berenzweig, 25, has played in 48 games for Milwaukee (AHL) scoring six goals and adding 11 assists. The 6-1, 217 pound defenseman has also seen action in four games with Nashville, going scoreless.

The Arlington Heights, Illinois native was originally a fifth round selection (109th overall) of the New York Islanders in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.

Sim, 25, has scored 47 points (16-31-47) in 42 games with the Grizzlies this year. He also has played in four games with the Stars, going pointless.

Berenzweig will join the Grizzlies in time for tomorrow's game against his former team the Milwaukee Admirals.
