Express Goalie Laplante Called Up

ROANOKE, VA – Roanoke Express goaltender Sebastien Laplante was called up by the Norfolk Admirals today, it was announced by Express Head Coach Tony MacAulay. In 35 games with the Express, Laplante, who is under contract with the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League, has compiled a record of 18-11-2, with a 3.25 goals against average and a .894 save percentage.

The 22-year-old rookie has started in 12 of the last 14 Express games and is 8-3-1 during that span. The Casselman, Ontario native was the ECHL's runner-up for goaltender of the week, posting a 2-0 record and a 1.48 GAA from February 3-9. Laplante becomes the fourth player who started the year with the Express to earn a call-up.
