Martiniello and Vickers come to Fish

The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that they have acquired Jim Vickers and Mike Martiniello from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in exchange for Steve Cheredaryk and cash.

Vickers, a rookie out of R.P.I., has picked up 2 goals and 7 assists in 47 games this season with the first place Bullies. The 6'1", 190-pound rookie also brings his plus-11, plus-minus rating to the Kingfish.

In four seasons at R.P.I., the Aurora, Ontario native tallied 55 points. He had 37 assists in his final two collegiate seasons combined. Last season, after finishing his final year at R.P.I., Vickers played in two games with the Jackson Bandits where he picked up an assist.

Martiniello has seen limited action with the Bullies this season, appearing in 29 games for Atlantic City where he has tallied 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points. He tallied two goals and an assist after joining the Bullies for 12 games last season after finishing his college career at St. Anselm College.

The Wilmington, Massachusetts native played four seasons at St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire where he averaged over a point-a-game in his final three collegiate seasons. He helped the Hawks capture back-to-back ECAC Division II titles during the 1999-2000 season as well as the 2000-01 campaign.
