Stingrays knocked off the Pride 5-3 on Thursday In Florence. The Rays trail the Pride for third place in the Southeast by one point. This season, South Carolina has a record of 5-1-1 against the Pride. Pee Dee has a road record of 11-13-2, while the Rays are 14-10-1 at home.

This is the eighth meeting of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a record of 5-2 against the Grrrowl this year. Greenville has a record of 3-5-2 in its last ten games. The Rays topped the Grrrowl 6-1 on Friday night in Charleston.

The Stingrays have 3-1 record against the Checkers this season with the last win coming Saturday night, when the Rays won 2-1 in Charlotte. The Checkers have won seven of their last ten games. Charlotte has a road record of 11-11-2.

Last Week in Review: The South Carolina Stingrays started a 4-0 week with a 6-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths at the Coliseum on Tuesday night. Ryan Brindley had his first hat trick as a member of the Rays in the win, which snapped a two game losing skid at home. On Thursday, the Stingrays came from behind to win 5-3 in Pee Dee on two goals by Joel Irving. The team returned home on Friday and crushed the Greenville Grrrowl 6-1 with Joel Irving registering a four-point night, on one goal and three assists. The team wrapped up the week with a 2-1 road win in Charlotte when Adam Calder netted the game winner late in the third frame.

Team Notes:

The Stingrays are enjoying their second longest winning streak of the season at four games. They won six in a row to start the year. The team has one of the best road records in the ECHL at 16-9-3; only Peoria has 17 road wins at this point. The Stingrays scored 17 goals in their first three games this week and allowed an average of less than two goals against in four games on the week. The Stingrays power play remains hot at 22.7%, ranked fourth in the league. The team scored nine power play goals in four games this week. The penalty kill is up to tenth in the ECHL at 82.3%.

Players:

Dave Seitz has a four game multi point streak. He has two points in each of his last four games. Seitz ranks 12th in the league and leads the team and with 62 points on 16 goals and 46 assists. Ryan Brindley had five goals this week. The defenseman now has 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 43 games. Adam Calder recently became the second Stingray to reach the 20-goal mark this season; his winning goal on Saturday gave him 21 goals on the season. Kirk Daubenspeck is 3-1 with a 2.01 GAA in his last four starts. He leads the ECHL in wins with 27 and is approaching Sean Gauthier's Stingrays record of 31 wins in a season.
