Kingfish Kick Off Season Ticket Drive
February 17, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Baton Rouge Kingfish News Release
The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that they are kicking off a season ticket campaign to increase awareness of Kingfish hockey as well as boost the team's season ticket base.
The Kingfish are looking for a commitment of approximately 4,000 full season tickets by individuals and corporations by March 28th to guarantee the operation of the franchise for the 2003-04 season.
With Kingfish season ticket packages ranging from $198 to $792, the season ticket pricing structure has been overhauled to simplify and reduce ticket prices. Overall ticket prices have been reduced by about a dollar per seat, per game in comparison to this season's prices.
The Kingfish season ticket campaign includes the opportunity for local businesses and individuals to place a $25.00 deposit per seat for 2003-04 season tickets. Tickets can then be paid off with the Kingfish's installment payment plan.
"We want to give the fans a choice," said Kingfish assistant General Manager, Barrett Ortego, "and make renewing and purchasing new season tickets as easy as possible."
In addition, the Kingfish are also introducing a new "Family Section" in the upper mezzanine (300) level from rows H to N. Kingfish season tickets in these seven rows are only $198 per seat in any section in the Centroplex.
"We want to make Kingfish hockey family affordable fun," said Ortego, "and Baton Rouge's family entertainment of choice."
As the only professional sports franchise in Baton Rouge, the Kingfish strive to provide affordable family entertainment for all ages. In the franchises' seven seasons in Baton Rouge, the Kingfish have given many hours of community outreach to local hospitals, schools and local charities including over 2,500 hours this season alone.
For more information on Kingfish season tickets or to place your refundable $25 deposit, call the Kingfish office at 336-4625.
