Three-game Week With Important Divisional Games Looms

The Trenton Titans (27-17-8) open a stretch of three games in four days beginning on Wednesday night against the Reading Royals (26-23-3) in Trenton. It is the seventh of 10 meetings between the teams, and the fifth and final regular season match-up in Trenton. The Titans are 4-1-1 against the Royals this season, and 3-0-1 in Trenton. B.J. Kilbourne (3 goals, 3 assists) and Scott Bertoli (2 goals, 4 assists) lead the way with six points in the series. On Friday night the Titans travel to Johnstown to face the Chiefs (21-26-8) for the fourth of five meetings in the season series. The Titans are 1-1-1 against the Chiefs in three meetings in Trenton this season with Tyler Beechey leading the way with five points (3 goals, 2 assists). On Saturday night the Titans face the Richmond Renegades (25-26-3) in the sixth of nine meetings between the teams. The Titans are 2-3 in the season series, and Adam Edinger has six points (2 goals, 4 assists).

"Player of the Week – Mike Hurley":

Right wing Mike Hurley has shown everyone in Trenton that he has a knack for the net. He extended his goal streak to four games with four goals in two games last week. Last Friday night he recorded a natural hat trick scoring the first three goals of the game in a 4-0 shutout win over Greensboro. On Saturday night Hurley scored a goal and added an assist in the 4-3 overtime loss to Johnstown. He currently has 11 goals in 12 games with the Titans this season.

"Reading Game Postponed":

The Titans February 16th game at Reading was cancelled due to the inclement weather. No re-scheduled date has been announced. The teams will meet in Trenton on Wednesday night February 19th at 7 pm at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

Bertoli Extends Point Streak To ‘Lucky 13':

Left wing Scott Bertoli has been on a torrid point pace since returning to the lineup on January 3rd. He currently is riding a season and team best 13-game point streak in which he has netted six goals and 15 assists. In last Friday night's 4-0 win over Greensboro, Bertoli assisted on all four goals in the game. On Saturday night he added a goal against Johnstown. He holds the franchise record point streak of 15 games set during his rookie season (1999-2000) in which he totaled 25 points (4 goals, 21 assists).

"Allen Ties ECHL Mark With Three Consecutive Shutouts – Streak Ends At 197:14":

Goaltender Andrew Allen tied an East Coast Hockey League mark with his third consecutive shutout in a 4-0 win over Greensboro last Friday night. He finally allowed his first goal in four starts with the Titans when Philippe Roy scored a power play goal at the 14:47 mark of the first period. Allen's shutout streak with the Titans of 197:14 is second in franchise history to Dan Murphy's mark
