CONDORS 5 @ Utah 3
Kevin St. Jacques' deflection of a Scott Balan shot represented the game-winning goal as Ryan Munce stopped 44 shots in the Bakersfield Condors' 5- 3 victory over the Utah Grizzlies at the "E" Center. It was the team's third straight victory and second straight on the road.

The Condors dug themselves out of a three goal deficit twice with two goals by Sean Venedam, but Kris Kasper of the Utah Grizzlies potted the eventual game-winning goal in the second period to hand the Condors a 5-4 loss at the "E" Center.
Where we are
The Condors (16-15-5, 37 points) kept pace with the rest of the division with their road win over Utah on Friday. Bakersfield stands at 4th place in the Pacific Division, six points behind San Diego with four fewer games played. Fresno leads the division with a record of 23-7-10 for 56 points.
Notes from the Nest
-With an assist on Saturday, Sean Venedam extended his point streak to five games, matching a season high achieved by Kevin St. Jacques from November 19th through November 26th.
-After a slow start on the road, the Condors are 3-2-1 in their last 6 games away from Rabobank Arena.
-On Wednesday, defenseman Scott Basiuk participated in the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game at the Save Mart Center in Fresno. Basiuk was on the ice for nearly 18 minutes as his National Conference team defeated the American Conference by a score of 7-6. Basiuk also represented the National Conference in the ECHL Skills Competition, taking part in the Rapid Fire and Breakaway Relay events.
-After serving a two-game suspension and missing the games in Utah, Basiuk returns to the lineup on Tuesday against Alaska.
-When leading after two periods, the Condors are 9-0-2 this year.
-Ryan Munce is third in the league in total saves made, with 861 stops to his credit this season.
-Kevin St. Jacques has recorded 10 points in his last seven home games (1 goal, 9 assists), with at least a point in each home contest over that span.
-Andrew Ianiero remains tied for the league lead with three shorthanded assists and tied for third with four shorthanded points.

That evening, all college and high school students will receive admission for $1.00 by presenting their current student ID courtesy of WB-TV 12 and 106.1 KRAB Radio. Bakersfield hosts San Diego on Friday, February 3rd, as the ZOOperstars visit Condorstown sponsored by KGET- TV 17 and Rio Bravo Country Club, then take on the Las Vegas Wranglers on Saturday, February 4th, when the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a deck of Condors Playing Cards courtesy of 93.1 Pirate Radio and Carl's Jr. Individual game tickets are on sale now and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena box office, which is open 10am - 6pm Monday through Friday and 10am - 4pm on Saturdays with extended hours on game days.
