Atlanta Gladiators News Release

Back from Chicago! Forward Brad Schell was assigned to the Gladiators from the Chicago Wolves last Thursday and has made an immediate impact upon his return. The second year pro posted 7 points in two games for the Gladiators. He had a goal and an assist for Gwinnett in a 5-4 win over Columbia on Saturday night. On Sunday, he tied a team high with five points. Four of his five points came off of assists tying a team high for assists in a game - the second time this season he has posted 4 assists in a game for the Gladiators. Schell returns following his first call up to Chicago where he posted a goal and 2 assists for three points in 5 games with the Wolves in the AHL.

All Star Performance: Jeff Campbell, making his second consecutive All Star appearance representing the Gladiators, posted a goal and 2 assists in the 2006 ECHL All Star Game in Fresno, California on Wednesday, January 25th. Troy Milam also got in on the action for the American Conference as he picked up an assist. Milam and Campbell figured in half of the American Conference's six goals in a 7-6 loss to the National Conference in the All Star Game.

Two for 50! Gladiators forward Jeff Campbell needs two goals for 50 in his Gladiators career after recording his 48th career goal in Saturday night's 5-4 win over the Columbia Inferno. Campbell entered the season with 30 goals in his Gladiators career and now has 18 on the year. With his 50th goal, he will join Chris Durno as the only other Gladiator to post 50 goals in a Gladiators career, a feat Durno accomplished in a 5-1 win over the Charlotte Checkers on November 22nd.

What a "Guy": After picking up an assist in Sunday's 7-3 win over Columbia, forward Milan Gajic is on pace to finish the season with 77 points for the Gladiators. That's not too impressive until you see that he will have only played in 49 games this year for the Gladiators. He has been averaging 1.5 points per game for Gwinnett since being assigned to the Gladiators from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League on December 26th. Gajic leads the Gladiators in scoring over Gwinnett's last 10 games with 18 points off of 6 goals and 12 assists.
