New "Hockey 101" weekly segment on KBKO; Month-long promotion begins at Houchin

Tuesday, January 31 : Watch KGET-TV 17 News at Sunrise at 6:50am and see Condors player Dave Bonk discussing Tuesday night's game against the Alaska Aces.

Tuesday, January 31 : Condors defenseman Jordan Little will be on KRAB Radio 106.1 FM at 9am.

Thursday, February 2 : Start your day with a dose of news Condors style. Left Wing Joel Irving will be on KGET-17 News at Sunrise at 6:50am.

Thursday, February 2 : Tune in to the Big 96.5 KBKO FM at 7:45am to hear Condors player Kevin St. Jacques present a new weekly segment called "Hockey 101". Every Thursday morning when the Condors are in town, Kenn & LaRae will host a Condors player as he explains aspects of the game, take calls and answer questions.

Thursday, February 2 : Mikie Hayhurst, director of community relations, and Condors defenseman Jordan Little will speak to a group of students at Standard Middle School at 8am. Little and Hayhurst will stress the importance of living a drug-free lifestyle. Standard Middle School is located at 1200 N. Chester Ave. in Bakersfield.

Thursday, February 2 : Condor Andrew Ianiero and Public Relations Assistant Angelese Reed will be Celebrity Readers at Roy Loudon Elementary School at 1pm. Loudon Elementary School is located at 4000 Loudon Street in Bakersfield.

Thursday, February 2 : Condors players Nick Economakos and Kevin St. Jacques will be at Houchin Community Blood Bank, signing autographs and visiting with patrons from 5-7pm. This visit kicks off a month-long promotion between the Blood Bank and the Condors sponsored by KUZZ 107.9 FM. From February 1 -March 7, everyone who donates blood at Houchin will receive a voucher good for one terrace level ticket to the Condors home game on Tuesday, March 7th.

Thursday, February 2 : Account Executive Greg Lowe and Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will cut a rug with the students of Fairview Elementary School as the school hosts a "Dance-A- Thon" from 5:30-6:30pm.

Thursday, February 2 : Experience the Condors Coach's Show live from 6-7pm at the Q Street Lounge inside the Holiday Inn Select or tune in to KGEO AM 1230 to listen to the broadcast. Condors Director of Media Relations Devin Rossiter and Head Coach Marty Raymond will be joined by Condors players for the weekly broadcast.

Saturday, February 4 : Head down to the Rabobank Arena a few hours before the Condors play the Wranglers and watch the local squirt team, the Bakersfield Dragons take on LA Hockey. The game begins at 3:30pm, doors open at 3pm and admission is free to the public. For more information, contact Craig Turney in the Condors front office at 324-PUCK (7825).

Monday, February 20 - Tip-A-Condor Dinner : The Bakersfield Condors are teaming up with the Kern County Shrine Club to host the annual Tip-A-Condor charity dinner at the Crystal Palace. Tickets are $25 for adults, $12 for children 10 and under, and are available at the Condors Office and at the Crystal Palace box office, open Monday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 9am-4pm.
