STORM NOTES

- We Streaking Again! By virtue of its 1-0-1 record this past week, Toledo is 8-1-2 over the last eleven games. The Storm finished the month of January with a 6-1-2 record. Toledo is 6-1-1 in its last 8 road games.

- Commanding the Third! This past weekend Toledo continued its dominance over teams in the third period as they out scored the Charlotte Checkers 3-0 over two games. On the season, Toledo has out scored opponents by 30 goals (57-27) in the third period. That differential is the highest in the ECHL. However, Toledo is a minus 15 in goal differential in the second.

- Shut the Door! Drew MacIntyre collected his second career shutout and first in a Storm uniform Sunday afternoon in Charlotte. Drew allowed just 2 goals in the weekend series against the Checkers. He was 4-0-2 with a 2.74 Goals Against Average and a .902 Save Percentage in the month.

- Power Play! The Storm Power Play went 0-7 in Saturday's game and followed that up with a 1-10 mark on Sunday. For the season, the Storm power play ranks 11th in the ECHL at 19.6%. They have scored 48 goals in 245 power play opportunities.

- Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked 13th in the league in kill percentage at 82.5%. Toledo has allowed 37 goals in 211 times shorthanded this year. The 82.5% is the highest for the Storm since November 14th, when the Storm was killing 83.1% of times shorthanded.

STORM WATCH

- Storm Coach's Show! The Toledo Storm Coach's Show is this Tuesday evening from 6-7pm at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company inside the Oliver House, Downtown Toledo. Head Coach Nick Vitucci and Defenseman Josh Zavitz will join Matt Melzak for insight and conversation on the 2005-06 season and what lies ahead for the Storm. The Storm Coach's Show can be heard live on Dominion 1520 JAMZ, which is the home of Toledo Storm Hockey.

- The Week Ahead! Toledo is back in action this Wednesday night at home against the Reading Royals. The Storm has a 2-1-1 record against the Royals this season. The two teams have only played one game in the Sports Arena this year (2-1 Storm Win on November 6th). In the last meeting, goaltender Drew MacIntyre made 32 saves to lead the Storm to a 4-3 win in Reading on January 15th. On the weekend, Toledo will play a pair of games in Trenton. The Storm and the Titans will play 10 games in two months. Toledo has split the first 2 meetings with Trenton this year, with both games in Toledo. Friday night starts a 7 game road swing for the Storm.
