
Saints Give up Four Late, Lose 7-3 to Sounds in Resumed Game

ST. PAUL, MN - The St. Paul Saints gave up four runs over the final two innings and dropped the resumed game from Friday night 7-3 to the Nashville Sounds at CHS Field in front of 4,399.
When the game resumed on Saturday, the Sounds took the lead in the eighth with two outs and nobody on Turang reached on an infield single. Tyler White followed with a single that moved Turang to third. Singleton then doubled off the wall in right, scoring Turang putting the Sounds up 4-3.
The Sounds added three insurance runs in the ninth as reliever Juan Minaya walked the first three hitters he faced. Brian Navaretto singled home a run making it 5-3. A two-run double by Andruw Monasterio gave the Sounds a four-run cushion.
Jon Singleton got the Sounds on the board first in the second with a solo homer to right, his fifth of the season, to make it 1-0.
Brice Turang came calling for the Sounds in the third. After a walk to Andruw Monasterio, two batters later Turang hit a two-run homer to right, his second of the season, increasing the lead to 3-0.
The Saints battled back getting a run in the fourth on a Jake Cave single followed by an RBI double from Daniel Robertson to make it 3-1.
In the bottom of the sixth the Saints tied it as Cave once again started the inning with a single. With one out, Jermaine Palacios singled Cave to second. Elliot Soto doubled them both home tying the game at three.
