RED DEER, AB - The Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club selected forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with their first pick, 1st overall, in the 2008 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. Nugent-Hopkins played bantam hockey last season with the Burnaby Winter Club.
This is the second time the Rebels have had the first overall pick. The Rebels took Mike McBain with the first overall selection in 1992. The complete WHL Bantam Draft is available at www.whl.ca.
