Pats Select Stevenson In 5th Round

Calgary, Alberta - With their 5th round selection in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats have selected centre Dyson Stevenson, 105th overall.

Stevenson, the native of Shaunavon, SK played this past season with the Swift Current Kabos Raiders of the South Sask Minor Hockey League. In 26 games with Swift Current Stevenson collected 18 goals and added 16 assists for 34 points. He also compiled 55 penalty minutes.

"Dyson is a gritty, character centre, who works hard and has an offensive upside" commented Pats Head Scout Todd Ripplinger.

Former 5th round picks of the Pats include: Derek Tendler, Kyle St. Denis and Jordan McGillvray.
