Calgary, Alberta - With their 2nd selection in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats have selected Tyler Borstmayer, 39th overall.

Borstmayer, the native of St. Brieux, SK, played this past season with the Tisdale Bantam Ramblers of the Centre Four Hockey League. In 18 games with the Ramblers, Borstmayer collected 9 goals and added 23 assists for 32 points. He also compiled 20 penalty minutes.

"Tyler is a big rangy guy with offensive upside. He is a very good defensively and an all around good player" described Pats General Manager Brent Parker.

Former 2nd round picks of the Pats include: Graham Hood, Garrett Mitchell, Nick Ross and Dan Waschuk.
