Calgary Hitmen Select Peter Kosterman 19th Overall in 2008 WHL Bantam Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is pleased to announce the selection of Peter Kosterman with the 19th overall pick in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.

Kosterman is a 15-year-old defenceman from Calgary, Alberta who captained the Calgary South Flames to the 2008 Alberta Cup Championship. The 6'2" 170-pound rearguard also helped the Calgary Bisons reach the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League provincial finals against the Sherwood Park Flyers.

"We're very excited to select Peter who is a steady defenceman," said Hitmen Head Scout Brad Whelen. "He's a big, rangy guy who can bring a little offence and is a good defender."

The 2008 WHL Bantam Draft continues throughout the day in Calgary at the Round-Up Centre.
