Pats Select Sagen With Second 8th Round Pick

Calgary, Alberta - With their second selection in the 8th round of 2008 WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats have selected left winger Michael Sagen, 171st overall.

Sagen, the native of Kenaston, SK played this past season with the Warman Wildcats of the Centre Four Hockey League. In 18 games with the Wildcats, Sagen collected 17 goals and added 19 assists for 36 points. He also compiled 12 penalty minutes.

"Michael has good hands and has a nose for the net," commented Pats Head Scout Todd Ripplinger. "He has good hockey sense and scored some big goals for his team this season."

Former 8+ round picks of the Pats include: Jesse Deckert, Todd Davison and Kyle Calder.
