Giants Select Lower Mainland Defenceman

With their first pick in the 2008 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, the Vancouver Giants have selected defenceman ZACH HODDER. Hodder was selected 20th overall.

Hodder is a 5'11", 180lbs. left-handed defenceman from North Delta, B.C. This past season, Zach played his bantam hockey with the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. In 17 games, Hodder had 12 goals, 17 assists, and 36 penalty minutes. He was also named to Team British Columbia's Under 16 Team for the 2008 Nagano Olympic Memorial Cup tournament in Nagano, Japan in February.
