Blades Choose Laurent In The Eighth Round

Saskatoon Blades News Release

The Saskatoon Blades, with their 162nd overall selection, have chosen defenseman Shay Laurent from Fort McMurray, AB.

Laurent, a 6'1", 180 pound blue liner, was born on September 24th, 1993.

"Laurent is a big, physical defenseman that isn't afraid to play the game with an edge," commented Blades Assistant General Manager Jarrod Brodsky. "Shay both sees the ice and moves the puck well."
