Blazers Select Colin Smith 7th Overall

Kamloops Blazers News Release
The Kamloops Blazers have selected centre Colin Smith of Edmonton in the 1st round, 7th overall, in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.
The 5'9", 145-pound forward is described by Vice President and General Manager Craig Bonner as a "dynamic player and a character individual on and off the ice."
Smith scored 36 goals and 70 assists in 33 games with the Edmonton CAC Canadians last season.
