Pats Select Crowther In 9th Round

Calgary, Alberta - With their first pick in the 9th round of 2008 WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats have selected left winger Aidan Crowther, 193rd overall.

Crowther, the product of Calgary, AB played this past season with the Calgary Northstars of the Albert Bantam AAA Hockey League. In 33 games with the Northstars, Crowther collected 17 goals and added 15 assists for 32 points. He also compiled 73 penalty minutes.

"Aidan is a power forward has who works hard in the corners and has soft hands in front of the net," commented Pats Head Scout Todd Ripplinger.

Former 8+ round picks of the Pats include: Jesse Deckert, Todd Davison and Kyle Calder.
