Broncos Select Scarlett in 1st Round

The Swift Current Broncos are proud to announce that they have selected Reece Scarlett with their 12th overall selection in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.
Scarlett is a right defenseman and stands at 6'0", 152 pounds. A native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Reece was born on March 31, 1993 and spent last season with the Sherwood Park Bantam AAA, winning the Western Canadian Bantam Championship.
"We think Reece is a solid two-way defenseman. He's the type of a guy that we see on the power play, while also having the ability to match up against the opposition's top line" commented Broncos Head Scout/Director of Player Personnel Jamie Porter. "He's going to eat up minutes down the road for us."
