Pats Select Liam Schioler with 28th Overall Pick

Regina, Saskatchewan - With their Second Round (28th overall) pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to select defenceman Liam Schioler.

Schioler (6'2", 170 lbs) played with the Shattuk St. Mary's Tier-1 Bantam this season, totaling 32 points (11G, 19A) in 61 games through the 2012-13 season.

A native of Winnipeg, MB, Liam's cousin, Dane, is a prospect of the Regina Pats who spent this season with the Winnipeg Thrashers of the MMHL.

"Liam is a big body and a well built kid," comments Pats GM Chad Lang. "He has a good skating stride, excellent agility and makes a good first pass."

The Pats next selection will be in the third round, 60th overall.
