Pats Acquire Maguire and 3rd Round Pick from Brandon

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats have acquired 18-year old forward Geordie Maguire and a third round pick (60th) in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft from the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Maguire played in 65 games for the Wheat Kings this past season totaling nine points (4G, 5A).

Prior to his time with the Wheat Kings, the 6'0", 165 lbs forward played his midget hockey with the Winnipeg Wild of the MMHL totaling 77 points (40G, 37A) to lead the league in scoring in 2011-12.

The Winnipeg, MB product also played for Team West at the 2012 World Under-17 Challenge where he chipped in an assist in five games.

The Pats next selection will be in the third round, 60th overall.
