Pats Announce 4th - 8th Round WHL Bantam Draft Selections

Regina, Saskatchewan - With their fourth round selections in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, the Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to select defenceman Brady Pouteau 79th overall and Jared Freadrich 80th overall.

Pouteau (6'1", 170 lbs) suited up in 54 games for Pembina Valley Bantam - 1 scoring 8 goals and adding 27 assists while totaling 56 penalty minutes.

Freadrich (5'10", 160 lbs) was a member of the Camrose Bantam AAA Vikings this season totaling 29 points (6G, 23A) in 31 games.

The Pats next selection came in the sixth rough (116th overall) where they picked forward Jacob Elmer from the Edge Hockey School Bantam program. Elmer (5'11", 150 lbs.) led his team in scoring, scoring 35 goals and adding 35 assists in 50 games.

In the seventh round, the Pats went the goaltending route, selecting Airdrie, AB product Kurtis Chapman. The 6'0", 160 lbs. netminder featured an 8-5-3 record while recording a 2.58 GAA and a .930 Sv% for the Airdrie Extreme in the AMBHL.

The Pats' eighth round pick came close to home as the Blue and White selected forward Brady Third from the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds. The Carlyle, SK product totaled 20 points (9G, 11A) in 28 games as the Hounds won the SSMHL (midget) Championship.
