Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert SK- The Prince Albert Raiders selected one player in each of the 4th, 5th and 6th rounds of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft today in Calgary.

With their 4th round, 88th overall, selection the Raiders chose left-winger Dylan Williamson of the Calgary Bisons. The 6', 150-pound forward scored 23 goals and added 18 assists for 41 points in 30 games for the Bisons this season.

"Dylan is a big left winger and a very good skater with decent hands and can make plays," said Raiders Director of Player Personnel Dale Derkatch. "We see him as a solid penalty kill type guy who can be a good role player, but also has the ability to play on the top-2 lines."

In the 5th round, with the 104th overall, pick the team chose another left-winger in Luke Coleman of the Red Deer Bantam Rebels. The 6', 193-pound forward played in 32 games this season, recording 17 goals, 24 assists and 41 points along with 75 penalty minutes.

"This player is a good skater, who plays a hardnosed game, finishes checks and competes. He is a big, stocky forward who could crack the top-6 in the future," noted Derkatch.

The Raiders used their 6th round pick, 114th overall, to select forward Sean Montgomery of the Calgary Royals. The Calgary product, who stands at 5'8" and 166-pounds, scored 29 times in 33 games this season for the Royals, and added 21 assists to hit the 50-point plateau.

"Sean is a right handed centre, who can skate, has good skills and sees the ice well," Derkatch said. "He is a player a lot in the mold of Shane Danyluk. He was the captain of his team this year and a good leader with a great work ethic."

The 2013 WHL Bantam Draft will continue throughout the afternoon.
