Prince George, B.C. - With their eighth round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, the Prince George Cougars have selected forward Josh Curtis (Winnipeg, MB).

Curtis (5'10, 148 pounds) spent last season with the Winnipeg Monarchs (WBD1) where he scored 18 goals and 47 points in 30 games. He added 12 penalty minutes.

"Josh Curtis is a skilled forward who is strong on the puck, sees the ice well and has an excellent compete level," said Prince George Cougars Pacific Area scout Bob Simmonds. "We were surprised to see him still available but we're glad that he was."

Curtis is the fifth forward and first Manitoba player selected by the Cougars in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.
