Prince George, B.C. - The Prince George Cougars have selected forward Lane Zablocki (Wetaskiwin, AB) with their fifth round pick (109th overall) in the 2013 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Zablocki (5'10", 150 pounds) registered 21 goals, 45 points and 32 penalty minutes in 33 games with Leduc (AMBHL). He added three assists in three playoff games and also tallied a goal and three points in five games with Team Central at the Alberta Cup.

"Lane is a very fast, skilled offensive forward who has steadily improved and grown as a player this past season," said Prince George Cougars BCMML scout Todd Harkins. "With his late birthday he's almost a year younger than most kids drafted so far."

Zablocki is the third consecutive forward taken by the Prince George Cougars in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. The Cougars are scheduled to have back-to-back picks in the sixth round (117th and 118th overall).
