Broncos Select 10 at 2013 WHL Bantam Draft

Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos Hockey Club selected 10 players (five forwards, four defencemen and one goaltender) at the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft Thursday.

"We are very pleased with our selections today," said Assistant General Manager & Director of Player Personnel, Jamie Porter. "We knew that this year's draft had very deep defensive depth, so we were very happy to be able to acquire the two forwards we wanted early on and still add to our goalie depth as well."

Round 1 - 12th Overall - Tyler Steenbergen

Position: Centre

Height: 5'10" Weight: 160 lbs.

Birthday: July 1st, 1998

"Tyler possesses all the qualities we look for in a Bronco. He is a strong leader, extremely skilled, a great skater, possesses a good character and has a strong hockey IQ," says Porter. "We didn't think we would have the opportunity to take him because he is so highly-skilled, but when we were given the chance it was a no-brainer."

Position: Left Wing

Height: 5'10" Weight: 186 lbs.

"He (Cole) is a hard-nosed, physical, two-way forward with great finish," states Porter. "He plays very well in the defensive zone and possesses great character."
