Warriors Select Howden 5th

The Moose Jaw Warriors used the fifth overall selection at the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft to Brett Howden from Oakbank, Manitoba.

Howden, 6'3 189lbs, played last season with the Eastman Selects of the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League. In 30 games he had 11 goals and 24 points, he notched three power play goals and had two game winners, as well as 16 penalty minutes.

Brett is the younger brother of former Warriors and Florida Panthers prospect Quinton Howden. Howden, and the rest of the 2013 draft class, will be in Moose Jaw May 23 to 26 for the team's annual prospects camp.
