Parsons Reassigned to Kansas City

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Goaltender Tyler Parsons has been reassigned from the AHL's Stockton Heat to Kansas City, announced Saturday by the NHL's Calgary Flames.

Parsons, 20, owns a 3.06 Goals Against Average and .905 Save Percentage with the Mavericks in 23 games this season. He last occupied the blue paint for Kansas City on Feb. 8 at Cincinnati.

The 2016 second-round pick of the Flames has played in seven games at the AHL level but has not yet found his footing with Stockton, posting a 4.39 GAA and .856 GAA with the Mavericks' AHL affiliate.

The Chesterfield, Michigan native and World Junior champion was listed as the Flames' top prospect by NHL.com prior to the start of the season.

The Mavericks face the Tulsa Oilers tonight at 7:05 p.m. for Fan Appreciation Night. Tickets for the game remain on sale.
