(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Knights announced three roster moves today ahead of the team's 7:04 p.m. game against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp from Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte.
RHP Nick Padilla was recalled by the Chicago White Sox today, his fourth promotion of the season. With the Knights, Padilla is 2-1 with four saves and a 4.08 ERA in 26 games (28.2 IP). With the White Sox this year over three stints (two games), he is 0-0 with a 4.91 ERA (3.2 IP).
RHP Jimmy Lambert was added to the Chicago White Sox roster today as the team's 27th player for the doubleheader against Toronto. He's appeared in seven games this season with the Knights since being optioned from Chicago on June 22 and is 0-0 with a 14.21 ERA (6.1 IP).
Chicago White Sox LHP Garrett Crochet will begin a major league rehab stint with the Knights starting tonight. He is currently on Chicago's 15-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation. He was placed on Chicago's IL on June 20 (retroactive to June 17). This is his second rehab stint of the season with the Knights. During his first rehab stint with the Knights, he went 0-0 with a 3.38 ERA in three games (2.2 IP). This season with the White Sox, Crochet is 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA in 10 games (10.0 innings pitched).
This season, a total of 17 players have now been promoted from Charlotte to Chicago.
