Wednesday, March 3rd - Bakersfield Condors Jamie Cooke and Bakersfield Blitz receiver Steve Wofford will serve as celebrity judges for Real Rock 93.1 Expose Bakersfield. Real Rock 93.1's month long contest challenged the public to "expose" Real Rock all around Bakersfield. The contestants generally filmed themselves in the process. One lucky winner will win tickets to five Metallica concerts as well as an opportunity to meet Metallica and Godsmack. The judging will take place at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill, located at 900 Truxtun Avenue. The winner of the contest will be announced Thursday on Real Rock 93.1.
Thursday, March 4th - Come on down to the Holiday Inn Select for the Condors Coach's Show from 6:00pm - 7:00pm and join Head Coach Marty Raymond and select Condors players. The Condors Coach's Show is a great chance for fans to meet their favorite players as well as win great prizes. The Holiday Inn Select is located at the corner of Truxtun Avenue and Q Street. The show can also be heard live each week on KGEO AM 1230.
Thursday, March 4th - The Bakersfield Blitz will be celebrity blackjack dealers at the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce Heartland Saloon event from 6:30pm - 11:00pm. The event will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds and begins at 6:00pm.
Friday, March 5th - Tune in to K-Lite 105.3 for Breakfast with the Condors beginning at 7:40am. Every home game weekend select Condors players have breakfast with a lucky fan. Tune in Thursday morning to qualify for your chance to have Breakfast with the Condors.
Friday, March 5th - Bakersfield Condors Todd Alexander will be a celebrity reader at Castle School beginning at 8:30am. Alexander will be reading to two different classrooms. Castle School is located at 6001 Edgemont Dr.
Saturday, March 6th - Colonel Claw'd will be at the 24 year celebration of Bakersfield Grocery Outlet located at 3917 Buck Owens Blvd. from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. The celebration will begin at 1:00pm and run until 4:00pm.
Sunday, March 7th - Join the Condors as they battle the Long Beach Ice Dogs while Bright House Networks, Spanish Radio & Everlasting Pools host a special pool poster giveaway. Everyone in attendance will receive a poster featuring Condors: Mirasty, Fair, Riehl, Virtanen, and Astrom poolside. Also, before the game come enjoy Spanish Radio Group & El Californiano's Pre-Game Fiesta, beginning at Noon on Centennial Plaza. Season ticket holders don't forget that Sunday is your chance to skate with the team. All season ticket holders are invited to take the ice with the team immediately following the game (limited skate rental available for $5.00).
Tickets to all Condors home games can be purchased at the Centennial Garden box office, open from 10:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm on Saturdays, and opens at 10:00am on Sunday. Mark Your Calendar! The annual Tip-A-Condor will be held on Monday, March 15th at the Crystal Palace from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This year's event, sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The charity dinner features Condors players and coaches posing as waiters for an evening, serving food and drinks to patrons. Tickets to the event are $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for children under 10, with a dinner including tri-tip, chicken, rice, salad, potato, and rolls. There will be a live auction as well after the dinner featuring team-signed jerseys from the Odessa Jackalopes, Ft. Wayne Komets, two (2) tickets to see the LA Kings along with a stick signed by select LA Kings, as well as Andrew Ianiero's game worn ECHL All-Star jersey. The Crystal Palace is located at 3223 Sillect Avenue. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Bakersfield Sports Entertainment office next to Centennial Garden, which is open from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. They can also be purchased at the Kern Security Systems Customer Service table in the concourse behind section 109 during all home games.
Saturday, February 29th - The Condors celebrated Leap Year with the South Carolina Stingrays KLLY 95.3 & O'Leary's Office Products Jersey Off Our Back Raffle & Auction. Commemorative Leap Year game-worn jerseys were auctioned off after the game raising $10,050 with proceeds going to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
