Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release

Last Weeks Highlights:

2/25/04 > Long Beach 3 vs. Las Vegas 5

The Ice Dogs were going for their third consecutive win, but could never catch up to the Las Vegas Wranglers. After Mike Ouellet tied the score at one apiece, the Wranglers rattled off three goals to take a 4-1 lead. Jerome Marois closed the gap, scoring two goals to bring the score to within one, but an empty netter by Las Vegas in the closing seconds sealed their fate. The Ice Dogs out shot the Wranglers 29-14 in the contest.

2/27/04 > Long Beach 2 vs. South Carolina 4

The Ice Dogs dropped their second straight, this time at the hands of the South Carolina Stingrays in the teams' first ever meeting. Long Beach got on the board first with a power play goal by Alex Kim, but the Stingrays answered back with four consecutive goals to take a 4-1 lead. Nolan Graham scored to cut the deficit to 4-2 with just over seven minutes to go in the game, but it would prove to be the final goal of the game.

2/28/04 > Long Beach 5 vs. Fresno 3

Long Beach and Fresno kept with tradition Saturday night, as the home team skated away with the win for the seventh consecutive time this season. The Ice Dogs got on the board first with a goal by Martin Paquet just 48 seconds into the game.
