ROANOKE VA – The following is a list of upcoming community events that will be attended by members of the Roanoke Express.

Tuesday, March 2, 2004 – From 1-2 p.m. Express assistant coach Bob Thornton along with players Jason Wolfe and Josh Barker will be appearing at Fort Lewis Elementary School in Salem to participate in "Read Across America Day", which takes place annually in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. The three will meet with students of all levels at Fort Lewis Elementary to read them selected books and sign autographs.

Tuesday, March 2, 2004 – From 4-6 p.m. Express players Andrew McPherson and Rob Snowball will be appearing at Manor East nursing home on Hershberger Rd. to visit and share a meal with the residents. The players will also take part in "Hockey Bingo" and meet with the residents from 4-5 p.m., then eat dinner with them from 5-6 p.m. They will also be signing autographs for the residents.

Wednesday, March 3, 2004 – From 10-11:30 a.m. Mrs. Wirt's special education class from Glenvar High School will be attending the Express' practice at the Roanoke Civic Center . Express players will meet with the students and sign autographs after practice.

The Express hosts the Columbia Inferno on Thursday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Roanoke Civic Center. For group ticket information, please contact the Express office at (540) 343-4500.
