Bullies To Participate in "Read Across America Week"

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Members of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL will spend time reading in area schools this week to help promote "Read Across America Week."

Tuesday, Eric Cavosie and John Longo will read to students from 1:45PM-3PM at Ventnor Educational Complex (400 North Lafayette Avenue; Ventnor). Scott Horvath and Dave Reid will be reading from 1:30PM-3PM at Mullica Township Elementary (500 Elwood Rd; Elwood).

Wednesday, Kam White and Josh Prudden will be reading from 2PM-3:30PM at Estell Manor Elementary (128 Cape May Avenue; Estell Manor).

Thursday, captain Stefan Rivard and Scott Stirling will read to students from 1:30PM-3PM at Slaybaugh Elementary (11 Swift Avenue; Egg Harbor Township).

Started in 1998 as a way to get kids excited about reading, the National Education Association's "Read Across America" has become the nation's largest reading event. The NEA designates one week in March, on or near Dr Seuss's March 2 birthday, as "Read Across America Week."

The Bullies take to the road this weekend to battle the Johnstown Chiefs at 7PM on Saturday and the Reading Royals at 1:05PM on Sunday. Catch all the action live on ESPN Radio 1450AM and the Surfer Network at www.boardwalkbullies.com.

The Bullies return to Boardwalk Hall at 7:05PM on Wednesday, March 10 to battle the first place Wheeling Nailers. Every Wednesday home game this season is a Wild Wednesday sponsored by Coors Light and Molson Canadian.
