WHEELING, WV – With the Wheeling Nailers 5-2 win in Dayton on Sunday, the Nailers claimed the point lead in the ECHL. The Nailers had a perfect week last week going 4-0-0 and improving their unbeaten streak to eight games, 7-0-1.

The Nailers enter the week with a record of 23-9-2 for 48 points, five points ahead of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and the Peoria Rivermen in the Northern Division. The Nailers also have a four point lead over the Columbia Inferno of the Southern Division for the overall lead in the Eastern Conference.

The Gwinnett Gladiators and the Louisiana IceGators of the Central Division are the closest teams to the Nailers in the ECHL's overall standings.
