LAST WEEK: Florence went 0-3-1 last week, and is 1-6-1 in its last eight outings. The Pride are 10-17-5 for 25 points, and remain in seventh place in the Southern Division.

Wednesday, December 31 @ Charlotte Checkers 4 PRIDE 3 (OT)

Florence took a 2-0 lead 5:56 into the game on goals by Wes Goldie and Vladimir Gusev. Charlotte pulled within one late in the period on an Allan Egeland tally, and then tied that game 15:18 into the second period on a Daisuke Obara goal. Just 1:23 after Obara's goal, Goldie put the Pride back on top with his second goal of the night. The Pride held onto that lead until 4:10 remained in regulation when Konrad McKay tied the game for the Checkers, and sent the game to overtime. In the extra session, Dusty Jamieson beat Matt Underhill with a long-range slap shot, giving the Checkers the win.

Friday, January 2 @ Greensboro Generals 5 PRIDE 3

After a scoreless first period, the teams exploded for three goals in a 52-second span midway through the second period. Greensboro's Dave LoPresti started the scoring, putting a rebound past Dan Lombard 8:25 into the second. The Pride tied it just 32 seconds later on a Nicolas Corbeil wrister from the left-wing circle, and then went ahead just 19 seconds after that on Wes Goldie's 15th of the season. Florence took a 3-1 lead 5:14 into the third on Corbeil's second of the night. But, just 1:14 after that goal, the Generals began a three goal flurry over 3:56 to take a 4-3 lead, and then added an empty-net goal with 28 seconds left to set the final.

Saturday, January 3 v. Gwinnett Gladiators 5 PRIDE 4

The teams traded goals in the first period, as Blue Bennefield tallied for Gwinnett, and Craig Brunel scored his first of the season for Florence. Phil Lewandowski scored 5:01 into the second to give the lead back to the Gladiators, but the Pride came right back to take their only lead of the night on goals by Jeff Szwez (7:05) and Wes Goldie (10:11). David Kaczowka's first of the year for Gwinnett at 12:13 tied it up, and Chris Durno gave the Gladiators the lead back at 16:10. Florence was not done yet, however, as Nicolas Corbeil re-tied it at the 18:12 mark. Just 23 seconds later though, a power-play goal by Kevin Doell gave Gwinnett a lead it would not relinquish.

Sunday, January 4 v. Charlotte Checkers 3 PRIDE 1

Dusty Jamieson gave Charlotte an early lead, converting 7:11 into the contest. The Pride tied it at 14:40 on a Kyle Kidney rebound goal. Neither team scored in the second period, but just 1:18 into the third period, Daisuke Obara gave the Checkers a 2-1 lead, scoring his fifth of the season. Late in the game, the Pride got a power play, and pulled goaltender Matt Underhill to make it a 6-on-4 advantage, but the Checkers' Konrad McKay sealed the win for Charlotte, scoring into an empty net with 1:18 remaining.
