Mole, MacDonald And Cruthers Return From Bridgeport

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that goaltender Mike Mole and defenseman Andrew MacDonald have been reassigned by the New York Islanders from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers to Utah. Forward Ryan Cruthers has also returned to the team from Bridgeport.

The Grizzlies are a proud affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the NHL's New York Islanders.

Mole is 18-13-1-4 with Utah this year with a 3.29 goals-against-average and a save percentage of .897. He signed with the Islanders prior to last season and was promoted to the NHL for the first time on March 25 of this year.

MacDonald has played 37 games with Utah tallying one goal, 11 assists and a plus-two. He signed a three-year contract with New York in May of 2007. He has logged 21 games with the Sound Tigers this year tallying two goals and three assists.

Cruthers has played three games with Utah tallying one assist after signing with the Grizzlies March 26 out of college. Previously, he played at Robert Morris University where he led the school in scoring the past two seasons.

The Grizzlies complete their 2007-2008 regular season tonight hosting Stockton at the E-Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Utah has clinched a playoff berth for the second time in three seasons. The ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs are scheduled to begin Sunday, April 13 in Fresno with the Grizzlies scheduled to play at home in the postseason's first-round Wednesday, April 16; Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19*.
