Minard and Turon Recalled from Memphis

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that defenceman David Turon and goaltender Mike Minard have been recalled from the Memphis Riverkings of the CHL. Turon has nine points (4G,5A) and 24 penalty minutes in 25 games for the Riverkings and has also appeared in four games for St. John's this season. Turon was Toronto's 4th choice, 122nd overall in the 2002 NHL entry Draft.

Goaltender Mike Minard has a 6-6-0 record, a 2.92 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 13 games this season for the Riverkings. Minard was the St. John's Maple Leafs MVP during the 2000-01 season when he set team records in wins (23) and games played (43). Minard was Edmonton's 4th choice, 83rd overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.

The Maple Leafs will host the Toronto Roadrunners this Friday and Saturday at 7:35pm. Gates open one hour before game time.
