
Colton Orr recalled by Boston Bruins

The Providence Bruins announced today that rookie right wing Colton Orr has been recalled by the Boston Bruins, and could make his NHL debut tonight at the FleetCenter, when the Bruins host the Pittsburgh Penguins. In addition, left wing Doug Doull has been reassigned to Providence by Boston.
Orr, a 21-year-old native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has tallied 1-3-4 totals in 25 games with the P-Bruins and leads the team with 114 PIM. His penalty minute total ranks second among AHL rookies. Orr was signed by Boston as a free agent on September 19, 2001.
Doull was recalled by Boston on December 9 and made his NHL debut on December 11 at Washington. He had one assist and 44 PIM in eight games with Boston, earning his first NHL point while assisting on Shaone Morrisonn's first NHL goal on January 1. Doull, a 29-year-old native of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, has one goal and 98 PIM in 22 games with Providence. He was signed by Boston as a free agent on July 25, 2003.
The Bruins conclude their three-game road trip on Saturday night at 7:35 p.m., when they visit the Springfield Falcons. All the action will be broadcast live on WDDZ AM-550. The Bruins return home to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, January 16 at 7:05 p.m.
