Meet The Latest Oil Kings First Round Draft Pick

EDMONTON, AB- The Edmonton Oil Kings would like to invite you to meet defenceman Griffin Reinhart, one of the newest members of the Oil Kings family, Friday May 1st at Rexall Place.
The Oil Kings made a draft day splash trading their first round (9th overall) pick in the 2009 bantam draft, gritty forward Shayne Neigum and one of their two 3rd round picks (48th overall) to the Chilliwack Bruins for Reinhart, who is the son of former NHL defenceman Paul Reinhart. His brother Max plays for the Kootenay Ice.
At 6'3" and 190 pounds, Reinhart played as an underage player with the Hollyburn Midget A1 Huskies who won a provincial title. He was later called up to the West Vancouver Giants Midget AAA team where he played during their Provincial Championship run. They eventually lost to the Calgary Buffalos for the right to go to the Telus Cup.
