Defenseman Connor Sutton picked in 3rd Round

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - In the third round of today's Western Hockey League Bantam Draft in Edmonton, the Prince Albert Raiders selected defenceman Connor Sutton of Calgary who played for the Western Canadian Bantam Champions Airdrie Xtreme. Sutton was a teammate of the Raiders first round selection, centre Mike Winther.

Sutton, 6'2", 195 pounds, was a big part of the Xtreme defence leading them to both the Alberta and Western Canadian Championship.

"Connor Sutton is a big, mobile defenceman with pretty good hands", said Dave O'Brien, Raiders Head Scout. "He plays with a strong physical presence."

The Raiders will be busy in the fourth round making selections 72, 75 and 78.
