Moose Jaw, SK-The Moose Jaw Warriors are pleased to announce that their third pick, 2nd round selection (44th overall), in the 2009 Bantam Draft is Defenceman Shayne Gwinner hailing from Drumheller, Alberta. Shayne was a member of the Western Bantam Championship Airdrie Xtreme Bantam team.

The 44th overall pick came as part of the Calgary Hitmen/Moose Jaw Warriors trade during the 2008/2009 season that saw Warriors Joel Broda and Tomas Karpov sent to the Hitmen in exchange for a 2nd round selection (44th overall) and right winger Brendan Rowinski. The Warriors also will also receive an additional pick in the 7th round (154th overall) as part of the trade.
