Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - With their second round pick, 31st overall, the Prince Albert Raiders selected another centre, Shane Danyluk from Salmon Arm, BC at the WHL Bantam Draft in Edmonton this morning.

Danyluk, 5'10", 150 pounds, led the Salmon Arm Silvertips to the BC Provincials in Bantam Tier II this past season as their captain.

"He is a smooth skating centre with unreal hands", said Raiders Head Scout Dave O'Brien from the draft. "After selecting centre Mike Winther in the first round, we had thought about taking a defenceman with this pick, but since Danyluk was still available we could not pass him by."

The Raiders next selection is in the 3rd round, 51st overall. In the 4th round they have 3 picks, 72nd, 75th and 78th.
