Pats swap former first rounders with Tri-City

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats and the Tri-City American have swapped a pair of first round picks. The Pats have acquired forward Jason Gardiner from the Americans (8th overall in 2006) in exchange for forward Neal Prokop (5th overall in 2005).

Gardiner, a native of Winnipeg, played in 11 games this season with the Americans while splitting time with the Selkirk Steelers of the MJHL. Prokop is also from Winnipeg and came to the Pats in November of last year from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for goaltender Jeff Bosch.
